(A 2-year contract basis position based in Hong Kong) The Policy Officer, focusing on research and information support, will have responsibility for strengthening Oxfam Hong Kong's influence on and position within the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR). In particular: contributing to developing and managing researches necessary to further OHK's analysis of the private sector and CSR; contributing to the development of required internal systems; supporting information provision and capacity building work relating to the private sector; producing material on CSR for, and regular speaking and writing to bring OHK's perspective on CSR to OHK stakeholders and external audiences; developing and strengthening relations with other groups working on CSR.
Necessary Qualifications · A recognized degree with knowledge of private sector and development issues · Strong analytical and conceptual thinking and proven research experience · Strong communications skills in oral and written English and Chinese · Knowledge of Oxfam's mission and work · Ability to work individually as well as in a team
Preferred Qualifications · Strong understanding of non-government organisations (NGOs) · Training experience with understanding of the field of corporate social responsibility, poverty and multi-stakeholder initiatives (MSIs) · Familiarity with specific industries of interest to Oxfam, including garments/apparel, extractive industries, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals Terms and Conditions This Hong Kong-based position is offered on a two-year contract without expatriate package.
