Fulbright Scholar Program 2006-2007

The Fulbright Scholar Program offers faculty and professionals numerous opportunities for lecturing, research or a combination of the two during the 2006-2007 academic year in 140 countries and all regions of the world. Awards range from two months to an academic year. Grants are in 45 disciplines and several interdisciplinary fields, and many countries offer "All Disciplines" grants, which allow applicants to design their own award.

Awards in NGO management, philanthropy, or civil society are available in the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Latvia, Romania, or Ukraine. The 'All Disciplines' awards in Bolivia, Lebanon, Pakistan and Poland list NGO management or civil society as priority fields. The Carleton University Research Chair in Canada welcomes applicants specializing in the role of civil society in North America. Foreign language skills are needed in some countries, but most Fulbright lecturing assignments are in English.

The application deadline for Fulbright traditional lecturing and research grants worldwide is August 1, 2005. U.S. citizenship is required. For information, other eligibility requirements, and online application, visit our Web site at www.cies.org.
