The Global Fund
To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
An innovative public/private partnership, the Global Fund has become the primary multilateral mechanism for funding programs to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Since it was established in 2002, the Global Fund has committed over US$ 10 billion to more than 550 programs in 136 countries to tackle these pandemics.
The Global Fund's purpose is to attract, manage and disburse additional resources to make a substantial and significant contribution to mitigate the impact of these diseases.
